L’ Ambassade de France en Guinée s’est exprimée sur l’affaire impliquant le chanteur guinéen Azaya , accusé de violences conjugales envers son épouse Djelikaba Bintou . Dans un message publié sur sa page officielle , l’ambassade a précisé avoir pris connaissance de la mise en cause de l’artiste, qu’elle avait reçu le 25 mars 2025 .
Une prise de position respectueuse de la justice
Sans porter de jugement sur le fond de l’affaire, la représentation diplomatique française a tenu à rappeler son attachement au respect de la présomption d’innocence et au travail de la justice guinéenne .
Cependant, en signe de solidarité avec les victimes de violences conjugales , elle a annoncé avoir retiré la publication qui faisait référence à cette rencontre avec l’artiste.
« Respectueux de la présomption d’innocence et du travail de la Justice, nous avons néanmoins fait le choix de retirer le message publié à cette occasion, par respect envers sa compagne et les victimes de violences conjugales qui se reconnaissent dans son témoignage. »
Un message fort contre les violences conjugales
Cette décision de l’ambassade s’inscrit dans une démarche de soutien aux victimes de violences et envoie un signal fort quant à la prise en compte de ces problématiques par les institutions internationales présentes en Guinée.
